Firm selected for Weatherhead award
Midwest Investment Manage-ment LLC has been named a 2005 winner of the prestigious “Weather-head Upstart” award.
The announcement was made by Steve Millard, executive director of the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), a Cleveland business association that co-sponsors the award in conjunction with the Case University Weatherhead School of Management, one of the premier business schools in the world.
The Upstart award is “a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire organization of Midwest Investment Management” said Millard. “The firm has achieved excellence in every facet of its business.”
The Upstart award is a component of the highly coveted “Weatherhead 100 Awards” program, which began in 1987 to identify, acknowledge, and showcase the fastest-growing companies in northeast Ohio. The program is managed by the Weatherhead School.
“We are very pleased and proud to be recognized by the business community for the outstanding growth our firm achieved in our first five years of operating,” said Midwest Investment Management’s Managing Partner J. Mark Wipper.
“This is exciting news,” said another of the firm’s Partners, Elmer L. (Al) Meszaros.“Our disciplined, risk-averse approach to managing our clients’ portfolios has been recognized and validated.”
Meszaros received his MBA degree from the Weatherhead School, as did Wipper and a third Partner, Margaret E. Halloran.
The Upstart award will be formally presented at the Weatherhead 100 Awards ceremony on December 6.
